If you plan to visit us on a one-day stop over during your cruise, you have the possibility of exploring Longyearbyen and its beautiful surroundings during a short time. Especially for this kind of visit we have designed our “Cruise Line Package” with a standard duration of 4 to 6 hours, which gives you the following benefits:
- Pick-up and drop off at the harbor
- Special sightseeing excursion taking you right into the history and surroundings
- Meet & greet with the dogs at our partner dog kennel
- Guided Museum tour (entry fee included) – on the 4 hour tour
- Hiking – on the 6 hour tour
You will experience the city & surroundings and our guides will give you insight into todays happenings and all the historical facts you want to know. Visiting our dog kennel to say “hi” is very popular with our young guests, especially if they have never come face to face with working huskies or seen a dog sledding operation before. Often, they just can’t leave without cuddling the cute dogs .
A guided tour of the Svalbard Museum, winner of the European Museum award in 2008, will complete your stay and show you even more about what makes Svalbard so unique. Our experienced guides have the gift of making even our younger guests thirsty for knowledge about the exciting history.
The aim of this package is to give you the entire experience of Longyearbyen in comfortable & exclusive conditions. We want you to get the most out of your visit. That means you will find yourself in a group of no more than 8 people. This allows us to focus directly on you and to adjust to your requirements, so that we can provide you with an unforgettable visit to our beautiful island.
